Fachan | One Eyed Menace of the Highlands

Fachan (or Fachen) is a terrifying, grotesque monster from Scottish folklore, described as a solitary giant with a single eye, one leg, and one arm emerging from its chest, known for its immense strength, hideous appearance (causing heart attacks), and a deadly club with poisonous apples, serving as a harbinger of doom in desolate Scottish mountains.

  • Abilities: Immensely strong; its gaze can induce heart attacks; wields a spiked club with poisonous apples.

  • Origins: Parallels exist in Irish (Fomorian) and Arabic (Nesnas) myths, suggesting shared ancient roots.
